Motivation Keys- 3 Ways to Get Going and Keep Going

1 – Turn the Page. Begin each day with a clean slate. Don’t let disappointments keep you down. Have a short term memory in regards to setbacks and mistakes. It is easy to get down when faced with failures. You have to fight discouragement by directing your focus on the future and not the past. Do not drag yesterdays frustration into tomorrow. Start anew. It is easier to be motivated when you have a fresh start. So give yourself a fresh start everyday.

2 – Just Get Started. It is hard to get motivated while you are still waiting for something outside of yourself to spur you on. Don’t wait. The longer you wait the more difficult it becomes to do anything. Take the initiative and start. Doing so fuels your desire to keep going. It is easier to be motivated when you get into the action mode.

3 – Think Opportunity. Rather than avoid tasks because you don’t want to do them, change the way you see those task. Don’t look at what you have to do as being dreadful. Dreading responsibilities only makes it difficult for you to start them. Combat this by changing the way you look at what you have to do.

Instead of seeing tasks as hurdles to avoid see them as opportunities to work for what you want. When you do what you know that you should do then you get closer to obtaining what you want whereas each time you procrastinate you put your success off to a later time. See the rewards in doing the task and focus on the benefits. Work in order to get the reward. Let the expectation of receiving the benefit from your efforts motivate you to take action.
