Motivation – 3 Ways to Keep It

By Anthony D Carter

You must sustain your motivation in order to hit your goals. When your motivation levels are low your initiative stalls. At that point your chances for success is lessened. Here are three ways for maintaining motivation.

Dream. Get a big dream and go after it. The dream is your inspiration. Inspiration fuels your motivation. When you have a big reason for doing the work it is easy to stay motivated. Focus on your dream for added motivation.

Work. A good work ethic staves off procrastination, fear, and indecision. Those are the three main hindrances to motivation. Once you start your work keep it going. Maintain a consistent approach with your work. Place a high value on work. Doing the necessary task is the price you pay in order to get what you want. Be willing to pay the price. Get excited about doing the work.

Success. Nothing succeeds like success. When you experience successful results you want to do what you can to get those results again and again. Let your anticipation of good results take over. Let those expectations drive you to do all that you can do. Train yourself to be a person who takes consistent action. Do this work with the thought of receiving successful results being your reward.

Remind yourself that there are benefits to taking action. Tell yourself there are undesirable effects associated with inaction. The longer you procrastinate the longer that you will have to wait to get what you want. When you look at successful results being your reward you are motivated to take action in order to get those results.
