3 Tips For High Motivation

By Anthony D Carter
High motivation levels begin with factors that are under your control. You determine your level of motivation with your emotions, thoughts and actions. There are ways to influence these factors. Here are three tips for maintaining high levels of motivation.

Act. An object in motion tends to stay in motion. Get in the habit of taking action. Determine what you need to do then act. Do not hesitate, worry or put the task off to a later time.

Procrastination actually demotivates you. The more you put something off the more you dread doing it. Do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. You will gain momentum, confidence and satisfaction. As you experience the positive results from your accomplishments you will be motivated to take further action.

Rewards. Give yourself rewards for reaching predetermined milestones. When you hit important work goals pause to celebrate. It’s fun and it prevents burnout. Get exited about your accomplishments. Rewarding yourself after achievements keep you motivated to hit the next goal. In this way you are not waiting until you hit your main goal in order to be happy.

Positive Focus. Accentuate the positive. Keep your mind focused on what you want. Rather than stew over failures or mistakes, instead dwell on the the lessons learned. Get excited about the experience gained. Play up every positive event that you experience. Look for the good in every situation that you face. When you put a few of these positive memories together you build expectations of more good coming your way.

Thanks for sharing your 3 tips with me. I will make every effort to make sure that they are put into action daily.

I will also make sure I share them with the many people with disabilities that I serve daily.

    Again thank you for sharing.
